Equipping a whole team with AI, keeping pace with AUM growth
56 investments across 15 European countries, 4 parallel strategies, a strong Microsoft 365 environment with no deployed AI copilot and no connectors. The same information was rebuilt at each investment committee, each due diligence, each investor report. The challenge wasn't only technical: a 100+ team had to skill up on generative AI, fast, without imposing yet another tool from the top.

InfraVia is an independent European Private Equity fund founded in 2008, focused on real assets. It runs 4 parallel strategies, Infrastructure, Growth Equity, Critical Metals and Real Estate, across major structural trends: energy transition, digital, mobility, demographics.
With €16B in AUM and more than 56 investments across 15 European countries, a team of 100+ operated inside a Microsoft 365 environment with no framed AI usage. Fertile ground for copilots and specialised agents, provided the teams were trained and the data structured upstream.
Two tools, two workstreams: equip everyone, then specialise by function
Rather than layering a single tool onto the existing M365, we combined native Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity Enterprise, and ran two workstreams in parallel: training for the whole team, and the build of specialised agents and skills per function. The point: connect the data sources and frame governance before industrialising any use case.
Audit & mapping
Targeted interviews by function (deals, due diligence, ESG, investor relations, portfolio). Dozens of use cases identified, narrowed to a short-list prioritised on impact x feasibility.
Training by level, every employee
Small group sessions of 4 to 5 people per level. Getting started with Copilot and Perplexity Enterprise, Copilot in Word and Excel, building Perplexity skills, building interfaces, first agents, prompting best practices. Top management included.
Building specialised agents & skills
Fifteen to twenty agents and skills built across both tools, by function: invest (deal flow, due diligence, IC memo prep, portfolio monitoring), legal, ESG, HR, and cross-team productivity. Each agent connected to the right sources, with sourced answers.
Adoption & usage tracking
Rollout across all teams, with no usage mandate. Adoption tracked continuously to tune prompts and critical agents.
