Six months ago, I shared an edition on a method for creating quality slides quickly, both in substance with impactful information and in form.
You can find it here. I talked about using the combination of an AI model like chatGPT with a slide creation tool like Gamma. (for me, one of the best tools on the market for slide generation).
I wanted to come back to it because some features have evolved on both tools and I wanted to share them with you.
An approach to easily create slides on any topic
Two years ago, making a good presentation took time, lots of slides, and often the help of a consultant.
Today? An average person can produce a structured report plus an impactful presentation in less than an hour rather than a full day.
This change is not just a productivity gain. It is a new paradigm: expertise is no longer reserved for those who know how to present.
What is a consultant in 3 tasks?
1️⃣ Conduct in-depth research
2️⃣ Read and analyze reports
3️⃣ Create professional presentations
These 3 steps can now be automated with AI, and here is the method I follow to get a presentation that is relevant in both substance and form.
1/ Run a structured search in 5 min
ChatGPT is a bit like your pocket McKinsey consultant. For that, you can use the Deep Research feature, with this prompt:
As a senior consultant, carry out in-depth research on [your topic] using a MECE method, with an executive summary and practical recommendations.
2/ Generate a structure for your presentation
At this stage, the idea is to generate the structure of your presentation based on all the relevant information on your topic.
But you can also leverage and analyze the sources (citations) from the result of the first step.
To do this, you can target PDFs and ask the AI to summarize them:
Act as a Big Four consultant, expert in document analysis. Summarize the document in 3 sentences, extract 3 key findings, 2 risks, 2 recommendations, using only exact quotes
Upload the file plus result in 1 min.
3/ Creating the presentation with Gamma
Gamma is the 2025 version of the PowerPoint alternative
You start from a text, a report, or a simple prompt, and you get a professional, illustrated and customizable deck.
How I use it day to day:
- I paste the research content into Gamma
- I choose a graphic style (or apply my brand guidelines)
- I edit the slides directly with the built-in chatbot
Result: a consistent, readable presentation, ready to be shared online or as a PDF.
Here are 3 Gamma tips I discovered recently:
Use slide animation in 1 click
When your presentation is ready in Gamma, you can just press “S” to switch to spotlight mode. Only some elements of the slide are highlighted (the rest is blurred), very handy to present specific parts only.
Add your theme (and your branding) to Gamma
You can import your theme (it does not work very well on my end) or create it and use it afterwards. With your logo, your colors, your font, etc
Remove the “Gamma” logo at the bottom of the presentation
If you want to switch to Google Slides, PowerPoint, or present outside the site, here is a tip to remove the logo while staying on the free plan. Handy when you make presentations no more than once a month :)
